The partnership between World Vision and Kasangombe began over 10 years ago—and it has born much fruit. Today the people of Kasangombe are able to stand on their own.
Almost all of the community’s children are vaccinated against killer diseases. Most families have sustainable access to safe drinking water.
Those who once went hungry are able to grow nutritious food—and feed themselves. With small loans and business training, parents are able to earn a living, provide for their children, and walk with their heads held high.
Children who once struggled to survive are now going to school and investing in their own future. And through partnerships with local churches and the lives and deeds of World Vision staff, community members can find spiritual encouragement as well.
Hope is strong in Kasangombe. The bonds of jamaa are strong—because of families like the Thomas's and thousands of other sponsors who chose to stand with the people of Kasangombe—and love as Jesus loves.
